Seeking An Experienced ON THE BOOKS Housekeeper For A Family Of Six! A lovely UES family composed of parents and their four (ages 13-18) children seeks to add an experienced live-in / live-out housekeeper to their existing team. THE POSITION IS LIVE-IN THURSDAY-MONDAY from mid-June to Labor Day. After Labor Day the job will become live-out. Must be legally authorized to work in the US, as this job will be ON THE BOOKS. The right person can provide references showing 2+ years of experience in a similar environment, preferably in NYC/LI/CT/NJ or Westchester. 5 day work week with two non-weekend days off (Tuesday/Wednesday) Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. (8hrs/ 4-OT/hrs) Compensation: $18.50/hr + OT rate of $27.75/hr (Equates to $21.58/hr.) Health-care stipend PTO (2 weeks/yr) Monthly Metrocard provided The ideal candidate is both a self-starter who can follow the daily schedule with little direction, and a team player who is capable of working well with and around others (house manager and 2-3 other housekeepers.) Must have a strong command of English and be an excellent communicator, both verbally and by text. Flexibility with schedule is important, as you will be asked to work in both of the family’s large, formal residences; one in NYC, the other in the Hamptons. A short list of daily duties/requirements: Smooth daily upkeep of the homes will involve light tidying to deep cleaning and everything in-between, both indoor and outdoor. Organizing of a wide variety Laundry, including the ironing of linens and dress shirts and the steaming of fine clothing. Light pet care (one dog/share duties with walking and feeding) Meticulous attention to detail is a must. Candidates will be subject to a comprehensive background check.
