The Pine Orchard Yacht & Country Club is seeking to fill a seasonal position in the grounds department (working maintenance on the golf course. No prior experience is necessary, but preference will be given to any individuals with golf/landscaping related experience. A brief description of the job duties are things such as, but not limited to: raking bunkers, walk mowing greens/tees, blowing leaves, string trimming, course setup, gardening maintenance and many other day-to-day jobs. Our goal here is to provide the membership with the best possible golf course we can. There are a few requirements I have in order to hire. 1. Must be able to show up to work very early (5:00 am) ON-TIME. 2. Show up on your scheduled work day. 3. Must be able to respect and get along well with staff and membership. We have a great staff now, and I would really like to add another individual to our team. The hours are approximately 40 per week, and I would need to be able to employ the candidate at least through the end of October, but I will likely be able to retain this position much deeper into the fall. Another item of note, is that we work weekends. However, we call them “Mow and Go’s” because we come in, setup the course, and then leave. Normally they are 3-4 hours shifts.
