Description
This is Mina. She’s 45 lb of cuddly, well-behaved sweetness.
I started fostering her for Street Dog Hero around Christmas, fell totally in love and adopted her. She is a great dog. Very sweet, gentle and sensitive. Confident, but by no means alpha. She gets along well with people of all ages and all dogs. I’ve often thought she would be a good dog to train other dogs with because she is not reactive, and generally not super interested in other dogs. She seems to hate cats, but I haven’t had her around enough cats to know if it’s unfixable.
She is great at fetch and loves walks and runs. Really helps make it easier to wear her out. Great leash behavior. Watching her run is kind of jaw-dropping because she is so fast. Strong prey drive and food motivated, which makes her pretty easy to train. She does not bark or jump on every person that walks through the door. She is potty-trained.
She is spayed and up to date on her vaccines. No allergies that we know of. She has a vet appointment this wednesday to discuss why I’m having a hard time getting her to gain weight. She was tested for worms and parasites back in January, but came up clear.
I am incredibly sad to be saying goodbye to her. If ever there was a dog that was perfect (for me), it would be Mina, but I’m finding that dog ownership just isn’t for me.
I have a lot of goodies and food that will come with her. I ask that you only respond if you are committed to meeting her emotional needs with lots of attention and affection, and meet her physical needs with daily or most-days walks/runs/activities.
If Mina seems like a good fit for you, please respond telling me why you think that, some basic details about what Mina’s life will look like with you. Maybe with a little about your thoughts on dog ownership in general.
Thanks for your time.
$100 so I can be more confident you aren't looking to do anything weird. No offense.
