We're ready for the Fourth Annual Plane Pull for Special Olympics South Dakota! We are hoping to see more teams hit the tarmac this year! This year we're limiting teams to only 12! Be sure to sign up to secure your spot. If you haven't done the Plane Pull, you're probably wondering, "how does an Airplane Pull work?". Participants create a team of up to 10, with each puller raising $75. If you have less than 10 individuals on your team, your team still needs to raise the $750! Then, participants will pull a B-24 plane 12 feet! The fastest time wins! NEW SCHEDULE THIS YEAR: Saturday, August 6 - EVENT DAY! Maverick Air Center 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Registration Team Captains or ONE PERSON CHECKS IN EVERYONE ON YOUR TEAM- Please bring filled out waivers, money raised, Team Captain Tracking Form and/or Donation Tracking Form. You will receive everyone's shirt collect your shirts here. Food will be available starting at 4:30 PM 4:50 PM: Opening Ceremonies 5:00 PM: First Pull 6:00 PM or after everyone is done pulling: Awards Teams will choose to compete in one of the following 5 divisions: Public Safety: at least half of the team members are public safety employees Fitness/Gym Open: general public Awards will be given to: The fastest time in each category Grand Champion: overall fastest time Most Money Raised for the top 2 teams 1st Place | $200 Gift Card to a local restaurant 2nd Place | $100 Gift Card to a local restaurant Since you may want some extra "oomph" to your team's power, local athletes will be mustering up all their strength to assist each team to get the best time possible! Besides a unique experience of pulling a hefty airplane and teaming up with our awesome athletes, participants can also expect to receive a limited edition event shirt and lunch. Team captains can get their packets for their team here. There are copies of the forms you will need during registration.
