Description
Paranormal Lockdown at one of North Carolina's most haunted locations. 8 rooms and a basement and attic to investigate. This location holds some rich and dark history of Morehead City, North Carolina. In 1929, Mr. Earle W. Webb, Sr., CEO of Ethyl Corporation in NYC and native Morehead City resident, began construction of a commercial building on the corner of 9th and Evans Streets in downtown Morehead City, North Carolina. Before the construction, in 1800's the original structure was a single family home that burned down, during the fire the mother and her two children retreated to the basement to escape the fire. But it only lead to there deaths. Prior to the fire the home was used by Civil War soldiers, today its speculated that it was a make shift hospital and the basement was used for a morgue. For the first few years after Mr. Webb built the build which stands still today, the building had doctors’ offices downstairs and a training facility for the local garment factory upstairs. It is said that the basement was used for a morgue. When the upstairs noise became too much for the downstairs occupants, the garment factory left. Mrs. Webb, a member of the Morehead Woman’s Club, asked her husband if the club could move its 300 book library to one of the upstairs rooms. When he agreed, the library was moved. A few years later in 1936, the Webbs’ son, Earle W. Webb, Jr., became ill and died. In honor of their son, Mr. and Mrs. Webb dedicated the building as the Earle W. Webb Jr. Memorial Library and Civic Center and opened it to all the citizens of Morehead City for community use and still used today. There are 10 rooms to investigate that including the basement and attic. In the attic we have seen and videoed a shadow figure moving around, the basement we have seen shadow figures, disembodied voices, and footsteps going up and down the steps. The children's reading room chairs rocking by them self's and equipment of ours being pushed over. Foot steps in hallways this just some of the stuff we have experienced there and more. If you have paranormal gear bring it.
