Most Christians realize it would be good to pray for others . . . but do we?
The New Testament is filled with references to praying for others–whether seen in Jesus' own ministry as He prays for His followers or in the epistles where we find examples of saints praying for other saints. It's impossible to not see this.
But seeing this pattern of praying for others is not always enough to provke us to actually do it!
Freedom Church in Mauldin is hosting a four-evening River class that will focus on the Biblical guidelines for "Praying for Others." Whether you want to grow in your personal life of prayer or you would like to be involved in a ministry of prayer in your local congregation, these sessions will provide a solid foundation for understaning the how and why of praying for other people.
The class will meet on four consecutive Monday evenings (July 12, 19, 26, and Aug 2), starting at 6:30 pm each evening. Although the class is being hosted by Freedom Church, it is open to anyone who would like to attend. Freedom Church meets at 304 East Butler Road, Mauldin, SC, SC 29662.
The class is free, but we ask you to register so that we can plan accordingly.
Every Christian needs opportunities to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus and to deepen his or her understanding of Scripture (2 Peter 3:18). The River is a cooperative ministry venture focused on empowering and encouraging communities of faith through Biblical training, curricula, and mentorship. Through a growing understanding of Scripture, believers will discover a richness of Biblical truth that will supplement their journey in faith, enhance their joy in Jesus, and encourage them in ministry in their respective churches.
