Come learn about the amazing tree species that help provide habitat for our park’s species, as well as shade and beautiful foliage in summer Come learn about the variety of tree species that help provide habitat for our park’s wildlife, as well as shade and beautiful foliage in summer and fall. Walk along the Esplanade's lagoon on a guided tour that will explore the history of different tree and plant species and how to identify them. This Guided Tree Tour will last about an hour and cover about a mile of the Esplanade. Your suggested donation of $10 would support the Esplanade Association's work to revitalize, enhance, program and maintain the Charles River Esplanade. Thank you! ABOUT OUR GUIDED TOUR SERIES This Guided Tree Tour is part of the Esplanade Association’s Guided Tour Series. Join the Esplanade once a month to learn about the ins and outs of the park, from our history to our trees! You can find a calendar of all of our guided tours on our website. The Esplanade Association is a nonprofit organization that works to revitalize and enhance the Charles River Esplanade, sustain its natural green space, and build community in the park by providing educational, cultural, and recreational programs for everyone. Working in collaboration with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, the Esplanade Association is dedicated to improving the experiences of the millions of visitors who enjoy Boston’s iconic riverside park.
