Thank you for your interest in competing at the Big Bear Lake 2021 Chili Cook-Off!Date:  Saturday, July 10, 2021Time: Event Open 11am to 5pm | People's Choice Tasting 11am to 3pmLocation: Bartlett Events Area | 630 Bartlett Rd, Big Bear LakeVisit Big Bear is pleased to host our 3rd Annual Chili Cook-Off. This is an ICS-sanctioned world qualifier event and is open to both professional and amateur cooks. The event is FREE to attend and we will feature up to 50 cooking contestants, 20 top craft breweries from around Southern California, vendor village, live music and a kids land. Space is limited to 50 chefs so check out the details and snag your spot today! Over $5,000 in prize money will be awarded to our winners!!2021 ENTRY FEES & REQUIREMENTS:We have 4 chili categories this year - Red, Chili Verde, Veggie and Youth Red - and contestants may enter as many categories as they'd like. $40 Each Category (Red, Chili Verde or Veggie)$20 For Youth RedAll participants must bring a minimum of 3 gallons of People's Choice chili (containing beans or pasta) AND 32 ounces of Competition chili.  FOR FREE ENTRY: Bring a minimum of 5 gallons of People's Choice chili (containing beans or pasta) AND 32 ounces of Competition chili, and your entry fee will be refunded on July 10th after the conclusion of the event. All cooks receive a 10' x 10' space and must bring their own canopy/tent, tables, chairs and supplies. Access to water and electrical is available upon request. Propane and whisper-quiet generators are acceptable. This is a rain or shine event. No refunds will be issued for cancellations, no shows or early tear-downs. HOW TO ENTER THE COMPETITION:Click "Tickets" at the top right of this page and select your desired competition category(ies).Select the quantity per category.Please read the Terms & Conditions of Competition and Waiver of Liability.Complete payment by credit card.Once registered, you will receive an e-mail with confirmation details. All contestants must be registered and paid no later than Monday, July 5th to be eligible to compete for the prize purse and awards. PRIZE & AWARD PAYOUTS:Traditional Red Chili = 1st - $1,500, 2nd - $750 & 3rd - $250Chili Verde = 1st - $500, 2nd - $250, 3rd - $150Salsa Chili = 1st - $500, 2nd - $250, 3rd - $150Youth Red Chili = 1st - $250, 2nd - $125, 3rd - $75People's Choice - $500Bear Valley Chili Master - $100 PLUS the coveted traveling trophy and bragging rights!
