Dr. Jones has over 12 years of expertise in grant writing. She has written grant proposals for businesses and organizations that have generated over $2 million in funding. Proposals have been awarded by companies such as Wells Fargo, Home Depot, Publix, and the list goes on. Dr. Jones has earned a BA in Political Science and Pre - Law, an MBA and DBA. She has previously been employed with the Georgia General Assembly Ways and Means Committee, Gateway 85 Community Improvement District, Staples, The Walt Disney Company, Atlanta Regional Commission Global Advisory Panel, and Habitat for Humanity. She has taught English abroad in Mexico, The Republic of Georgia, Thailand, and China. She is a founder and member of West Side Community Outreach and the TRM Group whose goals have been to empower the community through community service, civic engagement, and education. She is a recent graduate of the City of Griffin Citizen's Government Academy Citizen's Police Academy, and Citizen's Fire Academy. She is a member of the City of Griffin Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, Crime Task Force, and Housing Advisory Council. She is an appointed member of the Griffin-Spalding Airport Authority and Vice-Chair of the City of Griffin Environmental Council. She also serves as an advisor for the Spalding Collaborative Youth Advisory Council. Dr. Jones is the owner of The Solutionist Group, a consulting firm that specializes in small to medium sized minority and women owned businesses and nonprofit organizations.
