The UROHC Public Safety Summit will bring together law enforcement, first responders, and public health professionals to discuss OUD. The Utah Rural Opioid Healthcare Consortium brings together The goal of the Utah Rural Opioid Healthcare Consortium is to bring together hospitals, federally qualified health centers, and public and behavioral health entities. These local experts will create plans to combat OUD in Utah. Prevention activities will include provider training, community education, and syringe exchanges. Treatment interventions will include decreasing stigma of MAT, evidence-based treatment, employee recruitment, and reduction in treatment gaps. Recovery efforts will include eliminating OUD recovery gaps, expanding Peer Support Services, and increasing mental/behavioral health.
