About us: A 10-year startup mobility company with new owners is seeking a part-time bicycle mechanic. We are a small retail/ wholesale e-mobility company that is fast-paced with a casual, yet hard working atmosphere. About you: Must have worked as a professional bike mechanic for at least 2 years in a shop setting. Knowledge of e-bikes a plus but not required but must have a willingness to learn about e-mobility and assistive technologies. Must be goal oriented and a self-starter, structured enough to take pride in your work while following a QC checklist but also a free thinker able to handle a multitude of situations. The job description: 7~8 hours shift, 2~3 days a week as needed (14~25 hours a week) Must unpack the product, preform a series of bike part adjustments, QC check the electrical components and properly repack the equipment for shipping. After some training be able to help with email, phone and in-person warranty troubleshooting with customers. Requirements: -Must be able to lift and move 40-lb boxes overhead -Must have good hand dexterity -Must be an independent self-starter -Must be able to move at a fast pace and keep consistent work quality -Reliable showing up to work on-time at the warehouse with a can-do attitude -Must have own transportation; we are about 2 miles from the North Berkeley, Bart station -Respectful to people who are not able bodied and patient to their needs Email a resume to the link in the ad, a cover letter is not necessary.
