Become a homeowner with Habitat! Attendees will be given program information regarding a path to homeownership. Meeting will be in-person. Sign up to RSVP. This event is in-person at the Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Main Branch Library. We will meet in the Spencer Gallery in the basement of the library. Please RSVP for everyone that will be attending with you and do not bring additional guests, as we have limited space due to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines. Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County provides an affordable mortgage for a safe, decent home. Our Homeownership Program provides opportunities for those who may not be able to purchase a home any other way. Applicants must meet our three selection criteria: ability to pay, need for housing, and willingness to partner. The first step is to attend an Application Meeting. At these meetings, you will learn about the program. Applications will be emailed to you after you attend. Please visit www.hfhsjc.org to view our program guidelines, including income and credit. This application round is for builds starting in 2021 in Mishawaka, IN. We are not a custom home builder. With a Habitat home you can own, instead of renting, and gain equity every month. Homeownership also builds your confidence and self-reliance as you care for and maintain your home. Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County has built over 200 homes with low to moderate income households. Habitat provides a hand-up, not a hand-out.
