Description
PORT JEFFERSON, NY — The Village of Port Jefferson is hosting fireworks at West Beach on July 4, according to the village's newsletter.
Mayor Margot Garant said the village will be celebrating summer with a "full fireworks display this year, including an extra bang at the end because we all deserve it after the misfortunes of 2020," adding, "I want to wish you all a very happy summer."
Viewing of the display will take place between east and west beaches from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m.
The fireworks display is not the only tradition that is coming back to the village. The annual parade is set for a comeback on July 5, according to an email from the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce.
