Matt Steiman, Dickinson College Farm, will cover the basics of using food waste for compost and biogas.
In June's GreenTools session, we'll hear from Matt Steiman, Livestock Operations Manager at the Dickinson College Farm, on two different methods of using organic waste. First, Matt will teach the basic science of composting, what to compost, and different methods of backyard storage. He will also provide an overview of the Dickinson College Farm's biogas project and explain how the farm takes organic waste and turns it into renewable fuel.
Class is free, but a suggested donation of $5 is greatly appreciated!
