For Military Women & Veterans only - join us for an afternoon of sunshine and kayaking on the Rogue River in Rockford, Michigan For Military Women & Women Veterans only - Join us for an afternoon of sunshine and kayaking & on the Rogue River in Rockford, MI This event is being offered by the Woman Veteran Strong peer support group, in cooperation with Kent County Veteran Services * Arrive NLT 12:45pm (*we will not be able to delay the departure time if you are late) * Plenty of free parking * Meeting point behind the Peppermill Grill * look for the "Woman Veteran Strong" sign & flag * safety vests (life-jackets) provided * first-timers welcome * recommended attire: bathing suit and comfortable coverup, or shorts and a tank top, hat/sunglasses, sandals with straps * Other items you may want to bring: sunscreen & insect spray on-site (application before arrival encouraged), water, dry bag, change of clothes (just in case!, towel *Keep an eye out for our Lansing kayak event on 31 July at Tecumseh Park.
