Full Time Warehouse Position Available in Ballard. (Seattle) We are a small marine parts distribution warehouse and repair facility. We have an immediate opening for the right applicant! Compensation: $18.00+ / starting, D.O.E. Employment type: Full Time This is a full time, potentially permanent day shift position with long term opportunity for advancement. Work hours are generally 8:00am to 4:30pm M-F, with occasional opportunity for overtime. Benefits, after probationary period, include: paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick leave, paid medical insurance, SIMPLE retirement plan with partial company matching. Responsibilities include all aspects of shipping and receiving. Knowledge of USPS/UPS/FedEx is a plus! Other eventual duties include: light assembly work, taking phone orders, unloading trucks, stocking shelves, cleaning and other general warehouse maintenance. Part of this job may require you to interact with customers, so you must be personable and maintain a neat appearance. Forklift experience is also a plus, but not required. Employees are expected to comply with recommended safety precautions put in place due to the Covid Virus. Proof of Covid Vaccination is required to start. Qualified applicants must: be able to lift 20-50 lbs. on a regular basis be able to stand for extended periods of time be able to speak English fluently and have excellent written and verbal communication skills be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all common forms of measurement have basic mechanical skills and ability to use standard hand tools have a good attitude, be reliable, be a team player and highly self-motivated have strong organizational skills, is detail oriented and is able to multi-task have basic computer skills. Oracle Netsuite experience another plus! know how to operate a forklift or be willing to be trained possess excellent customer service skills enjoy going to work! Although we will train the right applicant, an ideal applicant would: know how many millimeters are in an inch, and be able to read a tape measure know the difference between 1/4-20 and 10-24 know the difference between NPT & SAE have some basic electrical knowledge have some basic refrigeration knowledge Once trained you will be expected to: Pull product, pack product, label product for shipping and process customer invoices. Assist customers with order requests, relay product knowledge and be a source of information for availability, pricing, product information and delivery schedules. Input orders into the computer in a timely, accurate manner. Follow up may be required to assure the product will reach the customer. Monitor inventory and notify the purchasing department regarding shortages. All applicants are subject to Background Check and Drug Screening. Covid vaccination is required.
