Description
I have two kitties who are desperately in need of barn homes. I have had several people contact me, but unfortunately they have all seemed confused about the concept of "barn cats"--in general, if I have a perfectly tame cat, it's going to be adopted into an indoor home if at all possible (as that is much safer for the cat and surrounding wildlife). Most cats that are adopted out as a form of rodent control are not tame & are not cats that are going to want to play with you or your children. They just want to do their own thing and be out catching rats/mice.
These two cats may very well tame up, but as of this time, neither wants to be petted. They are not aggressive but they are very skittish around people. They are accustomed to living outdoors and have both had success at catching prey in their previous homes. They will need to be kept in an enclosed barn or dog crate for a few weeks (with a litter box and food/water) to get accustomed to the area so they don't just immediately run off.
Their rehoming fee is $10 each and they don't have to go together (they haven't been introduced). Kit (the calico) is about 5 months old, spayed, & vaccinated (rabies and FVRCP). Mattie (the dilute orange & white) is an adult, neutered, vaccinated (rabies and FVRCP, and microchipped. I am located in Commerce, GA, please check where that is on a map before contacting me. I can drive about 30 minutes in any direction to meet an adopter, any further and you will need to compensate me for gas.
