Man Dies Working Inside Minnetonka Water Tower

MINNETONKA, MN — A. 50-year-old Texas man died Friday while working inside a Minnetonka water tower. Albino Chavez Rubio was in the Woodland Hills Water Tower, located at 5604 Hathaway Lane. Rubio died just before 1:30 p.m. from "traumatic asphyxia when his torso became pinned between a cable-hoisted bucket and an elevated walkway in a water tower," according to the Hennepin County Medical Examier. The Minnetonka Police Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating.
