Full Job Description CLOTHES FOR KIDS’ SAKE DONATION COLLECTION ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Clothes for Kids’ Sake Donation Collection Assistant STATUS: Part-time not to exceed 30 hpw (M, W, F & Sat) RESPONSIBLE TO: CFKS Route Manager and Executive Director APPOINTMENT: Executive Director WAGE RANGE: $15.00 per hour QUALIFICATIONS: Education: CFKS Donation Collection Assistant (hereafter referred to as CA) must have a high school diploma. A trade school degree or relevant certifications are preferable. CAs are also required to have a current driver’s license and a clean MVD record. Skills: CA must have the following - Valid drivers license Be at least 25 years of age Pass the MVR check Pass a DOT physical and drug screen Must be able to pass background check (no felony convictions) Experience driving a large vehicle (14ft box truck) Availability to work various shifts and hours Must be able to lift 75 pounds, unassisted Personal: CA must be mature and be able to convey warmth and acceptance. CA must have ability to develop good rapport quickly with others and must be in agreement with philosophy and goals of Agency. CA must also be flexible and have a sense of humor. RESPONSIBILITIES: Retrieve donations from donation bins located throughout Flagstaff and Williams Perform pick-up service for large donations in client homes Transport donations to Savers Complete daily donation and truck forms accurately and on time Report to CFKS manager daily with completed forms Communicate effectively between Savers and BBBSF management TIME AND TIME FORMS: 1. CA is expected to be at work during their designated work hours. CA will use agency time clock to record their hours worked. Excessive excuses for absences and tardiness will be cause for dismissal. 2. Time indicated on the Time Form and the Calendar must reflect actual hours worked. 3. If CA needs time off, it will usually be granted, if requested in advance. Excessive requests for time off could result in denial of these requests PROPER WORK ETIQUETTE: Dress Code: CA must be well groomed and presentable. Long pants and sneakers or work boots are appropriate attire. However, jeans are acceptable. During summer months, shorts may be worn (no cutoffs). Shirts and gloves will be provided. Confidentiality: Absolute confidentiality is required. The CA may have access to personal information regarding volunteers and clients. A breech of confidentiality will result in immediate dismissal. Work Attitude: CA is expected to work on the job. If the amount of or intensity of work is not satisfactory, this could be cause for dismissal. If CA has any questions regarding a project or task, they should feel free to ask questions. CA will be working with partners, office staff, and board members. CA is expected to be pleasant and helpful. This position is very physical, and CA will be required to sort, bag and lift a variety of clothing and miscellaneous items. Policy and Procedure Compliance: CA is required to read and comply with the policy and procedures manual at all times. Time for reading the manual is given during the initial training period, but the CA should continue to maintain knowledge of the manual’s standards and requirements. COMMUNICATION: The supervisor may provide an on-going evaluation of the CA’s performance and other work habits. CA should feel free to also communicate if they are unsure of an assigned task, any proper office etiquette, or anything else of concern to the CA. A formal evaluation (without pay increase) may be held one month after employment (or sooner if the need arises). This will also serve as a mutual time for communication.
