Position Title: Canvasser Location: Fresno, CA Reports to: Campaign manager Compensation: $20/hour Duration: temporary, 2-3 weeks Summary Catalyst Cannabis Co. is hiring a part-time canvasser to conduct a community survey in Fresno, CA. Catalyst’s mission is to bring social equity and our social justice philosophy beyond our stores and into our surrounding communities. We are seeking motivated applicants who will be going door-to-door to have direct contact with a broad base of residents. Canvassers will explain the purpose of the community survey and ask them to participate. They will report to the campaign manager to meet goals and must be able to receive constructive feedback. Canvassers must have excellent communication skills, be able to walk or stand for long periods of time, and have reliable transportation to accommodate moving to the job site. Responsibilities • Approach and engage with residents by walking door-to-door
 • Memorizing a script to explain the community survey you are circulating
 • Ensure accurate collection and electronic submission of survey
 • Communicate effectively to receive information and feedback from residents
 • Hit goals for direct contact and other program elements
 • Be available to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
 • Ability to manage personal transportation needs to move efficiently across neighborhoods
 Qualifications • Strong interpersonal communication skills
 • Enthusiastic, positive attitude
 • Ability to communicate effectively in order to meet goals
 • Comfortable speaking in public, walking and standing for long periods of time
 • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
 • Willingness to travel, work evenings and weekends
 • Have a CA driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
 • Have access to a smartphone
 • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
 • Experience in public speaking or customer service is a plus
 • Previous campaign or community organizing experience is a plus
