Position Overview: Under the direction of the Warehouse & Assembly Manager, the Assembly Tech performs various processes, using hand tools, to complete the assembly of products in accordance with company policies and procedures. This is a non-supervisory position. Responsibilities: General: Perform general assembly per instructions or specifications Operates any equipment needed to perform job Quality Control: Evaluate product and perform quality inspection on assembled product Report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor Shipping: Prepare finished product for shipping Safety: Follow all safety policies Maintain Work Practices: Maintain work environment to 5S standards Promote a positive team atmosphere with co-workers and subordinates Be on time for your scheduled work day Marginal Job Functions: Other projects as needed. Requirements Qualifications: Education: Minimum high school education or equivalent required Experience: Basic assembly experience and general knowledge of tools required Prefer one month related experience or training preferred Other Requirements: Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to work overtime when needed Valid driver's license required for local travel Skills: Requirements: Gain knowledge of inventory system, product acceptance criteria and product quality checklists Learn and incorporate the 5S program Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Strong sense of initiative and a sense of urgency, demonstrated by accomplishing tasks; improving current work processes; and assisting others when necessary Unwavering attention to detail and commitment to world-class quality Ability to embrace deadlines Able to project a positive and professional demeanor to all internal and external contacts Benefits: We offer an excellent compensation package and team-oriented work environment with growth opportunities.
