The successful candidate for this position should possess good health, strength and endurance for outdoor physical labor. Join our team at the Fort Bragg Station where we operate a standard gage passenger railroad between Fort Bragg and Willits, in Mendocino County, California. For over 136 years we have welcomed multi generations to ride the rails of our world famous Skunk Train and our Railbike Excursions. Trail maintenance consists of constructing new and revitalizing existing trails, clearing trails of downed trees/branches, keeping culverts cleared of debris and removal of trash/litter along trail and railroad right of way. Good communication skills, problem solving skills, knowledge of building materials and ability to work effectively with others are a must. Must be able to pass a drug test (meeting federal transportation standards, so no medical marijuana) and a physical.
