Recycle Laborer / Relief Gatehouse Attendant

The Recycle Laborer is responsible for customer service and sales in the Resale Center, as well as daily upkeep and maintenance of the Recycle Shop and Resale Store. The Relief Gate Attendant (Day or Night shift) will assist with daily collection operations at both gatehouses for the TDS landfill or Material Recovery Facility (MRF), comply with all governmental regulations pertaining to waste disposal and recycling and provide courteous, professional service to all customers, internal and external. High school diploma or equivalent; One year of customer service experience; Ability to work efficiently and productively with minimum direct supervision; Basic computer and internet navigation skills; Basic math skills; Ability to identify hazardous and special wastes; Ability to measure non-standard trucks and to compute the size of their loads in cubic yards; Ability to identify the size and type of collection vehicles; Must be able to pass the waste screening test after 1 year of employment (company will train); Must be able to pass and satisfactorily complete 2-4 days of monitored observation in gatehouse and recycle center; and Must pass the tele-screen and 10-key tests.
