Reports to: Banquet Manager and Food & Beverage Manager Minimum Age: 17 Years Work Status: Full-Time Days Needed: Varied Shifts: Varied Set-up and breakdown (tables, chairs, stage pieces and other necessary pieces) of equipment needed for each banquet function, responsible for maintaining organization of banquet storage area and inventory of banquet supplies. Responsibilities and Duties • Set-up all essential equipment needed to present a banquet, buffet, or private function in a timely and consistent manner • Clean and prepare room for banquets and other functions • Store and maintain all banquet equipment, bars, carts, portable units, tables, chairs, stanchions etc. • Refresh all rooms as required. • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility. • Inventory banquet supplies • Promote positive guest and employee relations. • Comply with all Internal Controls, Company, departmental, and safety policies, procedures, and regulations. • All other duties as assigned Required Skills • Must be able to operate vacuum and other cleaning equipment • Must be able to climb ladders and carry objects weighing up to an excess of 50 pounds • Clean appearance and neat attire required • Pleasant demeanor with guests and fellow employees is a must • Requires dependable and timely attendance • Requires the ability to follow directions from a supervisor • Requires the ability to interact effectively with co-workers • Requires the ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures • Time management skills • Strong organizational skills • Strong guest service orientation and skills • Willingness and ability to learn technical skills • Requires the ability to understand and follow all Food & Beverage Standard Operating Procedures • Ability to work fast and meet deadlines • Ability to multitask and complete several assignments in a timely manner Required Education High School Diploma or equivalent.
