Description
Intermediate to advanced piano and/or guitar players are most desired followed by other capable instrumentalists.
The primary focus of each group session will be helping one another troubleshoot and develop jazz musicianship via recording and analysis. Among other things, we’ll work on developing ensemble skills such as firm adherence to form, listening while playing, and making the hookup happen. It follows, this is going to require some fearless devotion to a beginner’s mindset regardless of how well one plays an instrument.
Participation is free. There will be no teachers here. I want to work on my chops too. So my leadership will be largely limited to scheduling and keeping participants on track.
The piano and drums in the studio are available to play.
I’ve never put anything together quite like this before. And I can’t imagine how it will go. But get in touch if you’d care to help me give this experiment a shot.
