and a major company went bankrupt, the CEO would say "I's not my fault! It's the idiot divisional Vice Presidents that didn't do what I said to do." The divisional Vice Presidents would in turn say "It's not our fault! It's the idiot General Managers at each location that didn't do what we told them to do." The General Managers at each location would say "It's not our fault! It's the idiot Supervisors that didn't do what I told them to do." The Supervisors would say "It's not our fault! It's the idiot hourly workers who didn't do what we told them to do." And all of the hourly workers would be fired and the CEO and all the other management would get bonuses for solving the problem which is what they're paid to do.
