OptiVia performs the fully integrated and professional implementation of high value, technical equipment which requires site preparation and modifications. Job Function: Optivia is looking for a Warehouse Associate that is responsible for the shipping and receiving of technical products in its Elk Grove Village, IL location. The Warehouse Associate is a full-time employee of Optivia scheduled 40+ hours per week; it is an hourly paid position which will include standard company benefits. Candidate must be available Monday through Friday with hours 7:30a.m.-4:00p.m.; some overtime may be required. Off on major holidays. Job Responsibilities: Pulling Product to Ship – Inspect product for quality control, ensure product is properly packages to prevent damage, ship product to receiving area, and process Shipping and Receiving with proper paper work Unload product from carriers - Properly receive and inspect all product, note damages and write up notifications, place items in warehouse locations for storage, and follow vendor packaging checklist papers. Clean and Organize Warehouse - Put up stock as instructed, sweep area and dispose of trash, and consolidate product Other Responsibilities - Train and oversight of temporary help when needed, assist in office setup for meetings and housekeeping as needed, follow shut down and opening security procedures, and backup for Warehouse shipping department. Work with vendors to get software loaded on products before they are deployed. Occasional assistance in the field with installations as required. Physical Requirements - Ability to stand and walk for long period of time (majority of the shift), ability to carry and transport heavy equipment with or without team members, ability to continually lift heavy items ranging in weight often up to 100lbs., and ability to work in safe manner in a construction environment Core Strengths/Attributes The Warehouse Associate should be reliable and able to multi-task. Minimum Job Requirements: High School Diploma/GED One-year minimum experience in Warehouse work Computer skills – email, shipping Ability to drive a forklift Ability to use power tools Ability to interact with clients in a positive and professional manner. Ability to maintain composure under pressure and trouble shoot problems. Ability to communicate and explain job details with the installation team. Ability to work safely with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills, including written, oral and listening. Must possess a clean driving record to obtain a DOT medical card Available for overtime work – evening and weekend work as needed Personal character in accordance with company’s core values and beliefs.
