Bee a beekeeper! You and a friend can suit up in full beekeeping protective gear and join an urban beekeeper to explore and learn about bees and their beehive! Ages 6 and up welcome! -You will use the tools of a beekeeper: smoker, hive tool, frame grip -You will hold frames of bees -You will learn about the stages of bee development, and parts of a hive. -You will see bees, brood, honey, nectar and pollen up close! -Lastly, you'll learn to spot the queen herself (or evidence of her work)! Personal protective veil and gloves will be provided. We will experience the hive for about 1 hour. Cost: $45 for 2 people Ages 6 and up welcome!
