Welder/Fabricator
Required skills:
1. MIG/TIG welding
2. Use of saws, cutting torch, and other fabrication tools
3. Read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings
4. Strong mechanical aptitude
5. Commitment to a safe working environment
Desired Skills/previous experience:
1. Automotive repair shop practices
2. Own set of basic mechanics tools
3. Bilingual (English/Spanish)
4. Welding certifications
5. Self-motivated
Required Education and certifications
1. High School Diploma/GED
2. Valid Texas driver’s license with good driving record
3. Must be able to pass drug test
Purpose
The Good Earth equipment repair team is need of an experienced welder/fabricator to join our repair operation.
Under the direction of the Fleet Manager, the ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of welding and fabrication experience in a machine shop or automotive repair shop setting. A typical day in the life of a Good Earth welder will be repairing broken welds on trailers, tractors, and other agricultural equipment.
At times the welder/fabricator will be asked to design and build solutions to everyday problems as well as perform preventative maintenance on equipment such as light/medium duty pickup trucks and trailers all while maintaining a safe and clean workspace.
