This is a MED badged position. Employee must present current MED badge upon interview PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE YOUR MED BADGE Pay rate is $150 per pound of product trimmed. This position is responsible for manicuring dry flower from stalk and breaking down plants to process/trim them to meet highest quality standards. Also responsible for tracking the batches that they trim including the final finished product, the usable by-product amount (trim), and the un-usable by-product (waste) according to company policy and practices, as well as state, local and MED laws and regulations. Essential Functions: • Breakdown flowers off of stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from useable product • Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch. • After breakdown of plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower. • Employee must account for each by-product type processed off the flower; adding stems and fan leaves to “waste” for proper tracking. • Employee must exhibit competency in basic organizational, tracking and communication skills. • Employee must be able to work well independently, as well as with others. • Employee must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of marijuana they are trimming; adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality. • Time management; employee must manage their time during work efficiently in order to meet goals while consistently producing quality product. • Employee must be able to follow basic instructions as well as be able to take constructive criticism from their managers so they can help maintain quality standards and production goals. • Employee must show up on time for work every day ready to work. • Employee must exhibit personal hygiene and follow the health guidelines set forth by Urban Farmer Services and the state while processing marijuana. • Trim staff is responsible for clean-up of all processing areas and equipment at the end of every day. • EMPLOYEE MUST TRIM AT LEAST 1# OF FINISHED PRODUCT IN AN 8 HOUR PERIOD. Additional Functions: • Must work well with others and be able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure and technique. • Use of independent judgment in regards to product processing, keeping quality, projections and goals in mind. • Help create a proactive and positive environment; a positive attitude and self-motivation to help produce High quality manicured product, while meeting and/or exceeding personal and/or company goals. • Be able to work with, help, guide, challenge and motivate other trim team members in order to create a cohesive unit. • Ability to research, evaluate and adapt to new methods, in order to meet or exceed goals, and or modify their technique/procedures based on all applicable laws. • Employee must be able to identify various problems with any strain/product, be able to communicate with direct supervisors as necessary. • Time management; employee must manage their time during work efficiently in order to meet goals while consistently producing quality product. • Employee must be able to follow basic instructions as well as be able to take constructive criticism from their managers so they can help maintain quality standards and production goals. Job Specifications: • Trim staff must understand and implement the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Pagosa Craft Cannabis • Trim staff must have a basic understanding of Marijuana laws, rules and regulations set forth by the state and the MED; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws is appreciated and commendable. · Fundamental knowledge, as well as the ability to be taught and guided in areas related to harvesting, drying, trimming and curing; initial focus on trimming with other areas being taught as the employee shows interest while still maintaining their capabilities as a trimmer. · Shows self-motivation/innovation and the ability to work well with all members of their staff and the company, as well as with their direct supervisor. · Ability to listen well and communicate effectively various audiences, especially with the direct supervisors and other co-workers. · Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately while not overstepping chain of command. · Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees, upper management, and other departments. · Ability to perform a monotonous task with great efficiency over 8-hour work periods without losing quality. · Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work environment. Additional Requirements: · Colorado driver’s license or State ID card · Must be a minimum of 21 years of age · Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry · Must be approved by the MED and be in possession of MED support badge. Minimum Education and Experience: · 1-2 years experience processing medical marijuana or other botanicals preferred. Working Conditions: · While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. · Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus. ·Employee must provide their own trimming scissors and apron. All other supplies will be provided.
