Warehouse and Maintenance Job Description The Warehouse and Maintenance position is part of the warehouse operations team, delivering materials and equipment to jobsites, unloading and loading trucks, and maintaining our equipment. This job involves loading box trucks daily and updating records and paperwork. This is a full-time position Monday through Friday. Weekends and Holiday work are uncommon. This job is well-suited to highly organized people who have experience working in a team setting, get along great with co-workers, and have the stamina and physical fitness to lift items up to 75 lbs without assistance. Warehouse and Maintenance Workers Duties and Responsibilities Load and Unload Trucks: Load and unload trucks daily using a forklift and/or manually as needed. Must follow safe lifting practices and help co-workers lift heavy items when needed. Document inventory leaving and returning for inventory control purposes. Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain the warehouse cleanliness and organize material daily. Make sure that the company’s property remains clean and tidy at all times. Equipment Maintenance: Change oil, check belts and maintain the equipment as needed on a weekly and monthly basis. Must have basic mechanical knowledge of small engines and general knowledge of maintenance schedules to keep equipment running well at all times. Equipment Deliveries: Deliver various equipment including scissor lifts to job sites as needed. This job duty will occur multiple times per week. Must have experience towing a trailer as well as operating equipment. Must be able to make safe decisions, be knowledgeable of safe loading and unloading techniques, and be punctual with the deliveries. Required to have a valid drivers license and be insurable. Warehouse Driver Skills and Qualifications: Must have strong customer service skills, a good level of physical fitness and stamina, and effective time management. Must have a clean driving record and be insurable, as well as the following abilities: Organization Skills- Strong organization allows this position to load, unload in a timely fashion, maintain inventories and records, as well as make deliveries on time and safely Attention to detail- This position requires working with a number of items and clients, so a good candidate needs to have the ability to verify that the correct inventory is being loaded, the equipment is delivered to the correct location and all paperwork and documentation is filled out correctly Time management- Must be a self-starter to be able to complete all required tasks on schedule with minimal supervision Adherence to safety- Must be able to maintain safe working habits when lifting heavy items or equipment. Must be able to adhere to safety rules and regulations Communication skills- This position works as part of a large team and a qualified candidate needs to be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, so it is important to have strong, professional communication skills Warehouse and Maintenance Education and Training: Most of the skills for this position can be learned through on-the-job training.
