Waverley Country Club is currently seeking Greenkeeper's to join us this summer season. At Waverley, we pride ourselves in being one of the finest private courses in the Northwest, and we are looking for individuals to help us maintain our pristine landscaping and grounds. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, a self-starter personality, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively to finish tasks. This seasonal position will start Mid-June and work through the early fall. Candidates must be available to work early mornings to afternoons and weekends. The starting pay rate is $14.00 - $15.00/hr. Interested applicants should apply through the following link: Work Performed • Mowing, irrigating, fertilizing, spraying, aerifying, top-dressing, sodding and related golf course maintenance operation. • Ensures that the golf course is providing healthy and high-quality playing conditions for members and guests. • Rakes bunkers, prepares and lays sod, rakes and blows leaves, repairs and maintains driving range, tees and practice facilities • Helps with other projects as directed. • Operates all types of equipment including turf vacuum, mowers, loader, aerifiers and sprayers. Requirements • Considerable knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors and other motorized equipment. • Considerable knowledge of techniques and accepted golf course maintenance standards for mowing greens, fairways, roughs, collars, approaches, bunker edges and tees. • Knowledge of planting, pruning and care of flowers, shrubs, plants and trees. • Skill in cutting turf, inserting plugs and placing cups and tees. • Must have a valid driver’s license. • Must pass company pre-employment background check. • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, often under adverse weather conditions. • Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, walk, bend, stand upright and maneuver heavy equipment for most of the work shift.
