Painter / Inventory Associate

This is a 1st shift position. Our growing structural fabrication shop operates Monday thru Thursday on a 10-hour shift schedule and operates Friday as needed. The painter will perform routine duties including preparation of fabricated steel material for painting, movement of material using forklifts, painting using airless paint sprayer, managing material inventory and loading or unloading of trucks. Being organized is a must. Duties: • Operate in a safe manner using proper personal protective equipment. • Work as a part of a team. • Paint fabricated material using airless sprayer equipment. • Prepare steel material for painting using handheld sander or grinders. • Perform routine maintenance on airless sprayer equipment. • Move, unload and load steel material as needed. • Managed completed inventory in preparation for delivery. • Work with management to maintain the consumable inventory. • Load trucks for delivery. • May be required to work in other departments as needed (Steel fabrications experience is helpful). Qualifications: • Minimum 1-year experience using an airless sprayer. • Minimum 2-years' experience forklift operation experience. • Basic arithmetic using whole number, decimals and fractions. • Must be able to organize and manage inventory stored for shipment • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position (standing, kneeling, walking, squatting and lifting). • Drug free workplace
