Monet, originally called 'Momma' or Flora was lost on Friday 6/18/21 on North K street. She was adopted out by A Place of Hope Small Dog rescue and unfortunately got out of her new home when she was let out into her fenced yard by someone dogsitting. We think she might have been frightened in a new place.
Please help us find her. Monet has a sad past-she was trapped after roaming through a year through a neighborhood in Baldwin County Alabama where she had a litter of puppies long since rescued and placed. Place of Hope placed her in a good home and had vetted her fully.
It took a year to get her to go into a trap. We are her original rescuers and we think that she may have become very afraid in new surroundings and bolted. Please contact us if you see her, or the rescue. We are very worried about her!
Monet is a very intelligent dog who when we knew her came out mainly in the early morning hours, evening to night to find food. She will run from people but will approach other dogs as she is dog friendly. She has a docked (short stub) tail.
Please don't chase her but contact the numbers on the flyer!
