Description
If you have Betta fish I highly recommend what my Betta fish LOVE.
1. LEAF HAMMOCK. It is a very inexpensive green plastic leaf that you affix by attached suction cup to any side of the glass bowl or tank, about 2 inches below the water line.
The Betta loves to rest here near the surface. All they have to do is tilt their face up to get air from the surface, instead of having to endlessly swim down and up.
2. The FLOATING LOG. My Bettas (in separate tanks/bowls) LOVE this too. It looks just like a hollowed out section of a real floating log. The Bettas love the privacy. Mine all go into to theirs' especially at bedtime (they put themselves to bed at 8 p.m. like clockwork! It must be innate.)
Best way is to suction the LEAF HAMMOCK lengthwise in the back right corner of the tank INSIDE the
FLOATING LOG.
I secure the log to the tank with dental floss and tape, so it does not bob/float around.
The Betta will peacefully sleep here all night because he or she doesn't have to keep coming to the surface for air, they are now already at the surface.
The FLOATING LOG has a "moonroof" opening on top for Betta to breathe.
You can even tell they are asleep because they rhythmically "breathe" like snoring.
So, if you really love your Betta fish, this makes their world so much better!
P.S.- The second photo is of the floating log BEFORE I put the LEAF HAMMOCK in.
