Networking opportunities give entry into the collaborative efforts of Latino serving leaders from our 21 state affiliates.
The Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents [ALAS] is excited to host the Small School District Symposium (student population 4000 or less) on July 15th & 16th, 2021. ALAS is committed to provide a platform of advocacy for all students with an emphasis on Latino youth. Our networking opportunities give entry into the collaborative efforts of Latino serving leaders from our 21 state affiliates, and with a special invitation to non-affiliate states to learn and share from one another on how to address relevant issues.
The Symposium will give voice to the challenges and creative solutions from superintendents across the U.S. to senior level advisors of the U.S. Department of Education and other DC agencies. Reopening of schools, staff attrition, pandemic fears and ESSR funds are all top of mind in the design of the Symposium. Hear from the U.S. department of Education what is in store for funding accountability and flexibility over the course of the next couple of years.
ALAS is committed to providing leadership at the national level that assures every school in America effectively serves the educational needs of all students with an emphasis on Latinx Youth by building capacity, promoting best practices, and transforming educational institutions.
Our organization is committed to identifying, recruiting, developing and advancing Latinx school administrators in order to improve the educational accomplishments of Latinx youth.
