Treat yourself to an evening of creative exploration based on a summer garden. Learn how to find inspiration and patterns in nature to create a botanical themed paper collage art. You'll come away from the class with a finished 10" x 10" paper collage. In this workshop, artist Sandra Venus will teach you how to use objects you find in the garden (or your kitchen) to experiment with mark-making and creating patterns. We'll then use these painted papers to cut up and create a botanical themed paper collage. You'll learn how you can use these same techniques to keep an art journal or to make wall art. We'll use mixed media and a variety of papers to create the collage. No need to have your own supply of paints or paint brushes. Art materials will be available to use during the workshop.
