Join Black Brown + Breathing at Poetic Platforms for a day of celebration, art, and community healing.
Black Brown + Breathing (BBB) is a space to gather, breathe, cry, pray, and celebrate in community.
BBB hosts healing-centered activations at sites of resistance, protest, and collective trauma throughout Chicago. Through these spaces, we come together to reclaim them as our own, to share in one another’s healing, and to spread awareness of ongoing injustices. BBB activations center Black and Brown voices, breath, and celebration. All are invited to help us do so.
On Saturday, June 26, Black Brown + Breathing will host an activation at Marquette Park as a part of Open Architecture Chicago’s Poetic Platforms series. Stay after the activation to enjoy community art workshops, live installations, and performances.

OAC Chicago's Poetic Platforms is a series of community pop-ups, mindfully and intentionally hosted in underutilized spaces and interstitial parks, setting the stage for poetry, song, and artistic reimagining of community spaces. Follow @oacchicago on Instagram to learn more.
