DALLAS POLICE DEPARTMENT IS HOSTING A CAMPUS SAFETY FAIR FOR FIRST TIME COLLEGE STUDENTS. PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.
Dallas Police Department Office of Community Affairs is hosting My College Life: Campus Safety Fair for 2021 Graduating High School Students Saturday July 24, 2021 10am-12pm.
Parents can attend with students as well. Attendees will get the chance to hear from a panel of local college police departments as well as Dallas Police leadership on ways to maintain personal safety while on a college campus.
Speakers include: Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center - Students can lower their risk of sexual assaults on campus.
Frost Bank: Money Tip and Tools as students navigate being on their own for the first time away from home
Police Departments: Dallas Police Department, Dallas College, College, UNT University , DBU University Police Department, SMU Police Department.
Some of the Topics include: SOCIAL MEDIA, DRUGS AND ACOHOL, AWARENESS, SAFE DRIVING. WATER SAFETY, AND PERSONAL SAFETY.

The Office of Community Affairs and Employee Communications (OCA) is comprised of Civilian Community Outreach Representatives and Sworn Police Officers. The OCA's primary goal is to establish and maintain a positive working relationship between the Dallas Police Department and the residents of Dallas. The OCA has a three fold mission: to educate, to empower, and to engage the citizens of Dallas in an effort to reduce crime within our communities.
