Come meet with Meria Carstarphen and learn more about why we need her to run for Mayor of Atlanta! It is my immense pleasure to host my friend, former APS Superintendent Meria Carstarphen, whom I am strongly encouraging to run for Mayor of Atlanta, for an evening of dialogue with our neighbors in surrounding neighborhoods. Meria is a long-standing, successful, seasoned CEO of public institutions whom I and many others are recruiting to join the race! She is all in for a successful, corruption-free, crime-free Atlanta, and she wants to learn more about what Atlanta neighborhoods like ours want in a candidate, and for the city. I personally know Meria to be intelligent, passionate and determined. Her work has included addressing corruption, running and cleaning-up APS after the largest cheating scandal in the history of public education, launching and overseeing police departments and ensuring the highest quality finance and infrastructure processes. I believe whole-heartedly that she is exactly what Atlanta needs NOW! This conversation will directly influence whether Meria decides to run, so I hope you will all take the opporunity to come meet her and give honest feedback about her potential candidacy, and about the issues that are most important to you.
