Full Time Family Assistant/ Nanny Needed

We are looking for a full-time family assistant who is available to start in August. We live in Brentwood and have 2 children, a 13-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son. Both children are bright, happy, healthy, and active without any special needs. Our daughter is entering 9th grade and our son is beginning 6th grade at local schools. We also have two small dogs. We are looking for someone to help transport and care for our children in the afternoons/ evenings, do some housework and cooking, and help manage our household/family responsibilities/ pets. HOURS: Full-time position, 5 days a week for 40 hours, generally 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. It would mostly be a consistent weekly schedule, with some needed flexibility to occasionally start earlier, be off during family vacations, or possibly house/ dog sit. QUALIFICATIONS: *Experienced with teen/ tween children *Fun, energetic and engaging, but willing to set boundaries with children as needed. *Genuinely enjoys cooking a variety of foods and understands good nutrition. Formal culinary experience a plus but not required. *Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to keep household running smoothly and efficiently, and to proactively identify issues and identify solutions. *Clean driving record with valid CDL/Insurance, willing to have a background check, has own transportation, comfortable driving children quickly and efficiently to and from school/ activities. *Speaks and writes English fluently. *Does not need to bring own child to work * Comfortable around small dogs *Excellent references from current/past employers RESPONSIBILITIES: *Childcare: picking up the kids from school and driving them to and from activities/ appointments. Engaging with the children outside of school to keep them off screens. *Cooking: preparing healthy family dinners, preparing lunch/snacks for family for school and work. *Household responsibilities: feeding/ cleaning up after dogs, family laundry, light ironing, light cleaning (tidying up, loading/emptying dishwasher, sweeping, making beds etc.). We have a regular housekeeper who handles heavier cleaning. *Running errands: some grocery shopping, dry cleaning, trips to Target etc. as needed, other occasional household errands Compensation: $20+ plus per hour pre-tax, depending on experience. Position will be payrolled with taxes deducted.
