Description
Summary:
We’re three musicians in our mid-twenties looking to fill out our band, starting with a drummer. We’re three guitarists/vocalists who write original music and are also interested in playing some covers. We’ve written over 90 minutes of finished original music that we would like to play live, and are continuously writing more.
Style:
We cover a wide variety of genres, including but not limited to: folk rock, indie rock, metal. Some bands that we enjoy and are inspired by include: Muse, Manchester Orchestra, Queens of the Stone Age, Mumford and Sons, The Dear Hunter, Gregory Alan Isakov, Nothing But Thieves, Frightened Rabbit, Foo Fighters, Phoebe Bridgers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Death Cab for Cutie, Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy
What we’re looking for:
We’re a chill hobby band right now, looking for the opportunity to establish ourselves by creating a fuller sound we can play live with. Eventually we would like to get more consistent and serious with frequency of practice and performance, but for now, we are a relaxed group.
We would want our drummer to be a part of the creative process, and bring their own style to our music - we have a sense of the kind of sound we want, but don’t want to prescribe what to play or how to play it. We’re also happy to get contributions beyond just drums (if you play other instruments or have ideas for our other instruments or lyrics, we’d love for you to share).
Schedule:
We don’t have a set schedule at the moment, but currently, we practice weekly - on the weekends, but varying days/times, usually between noon and 6ish. We all work 9-5 jobs at the moment, so we primarily work around that schedule.
