It's called the Silent Majority Speaks. It's for youth ages 11-18. They walk down Center Street from 500 West to the steps at the Historic Courthouse on University about 6pm in back-to-school fashions. The best outfit (Walmart fashions) gets a gift card to Walmart. It's speaking out about all the testing and labeling done that is so harmful to individuals and families, grouping people as autistic, mainly, or attention deficit, or other things. The system is bad. People are using it because they have nothing else, but it's at the harm to people going through their labeling/diagnosing with the bad system, they said. It's been going for years with no one standing for long that didn't get knocked down. The National Mental Health System said they should not be using it in 2015, but professionals have to be paid. You have to label to be paid, and people want to be diagnosed or have their kids diagnosed (some people). .. and the schools.. this is a stand.
