City of Water Day 2021: Coastal Cleanup in East River Park

Help us keep litter and floatable waste out of the East River, the New York Harbor, and the Atlantic Ocean! The Lower East Side Ecology Center will be hosting a coastal cleanup of East River Park's embayments from 10am-12:30pm on Saturday, July 10th. Gloves and trash pickers will be provided. Guests are welcome to attend the event in full or to leave early, but 10am arrival is encouraged. We will meet at the Fireboat House. Accessibility note: There are no gates to provide direct access to the embayment, so volunteers will need to jump the short fence. We will have a step stool and someone on the other side to assist those who may need assistance.
