Help clean up West 16th Street!/ Ayúdanos con la Limpieza de la calle 16th! This week we will be cleaning up West 16th Street in Pilsen, an area that needs some love! It runs right along train tracks and doesn't seem to have any private ownership or public trash bins, so the trash has accumulated over time. Here are the details: Meeting Location: 1600 S Ashland Ave (corner of 16th and Ashland Ave). We intend to clean from Wolcott to Loomis (about 5 blocks) but we'll do the best we can given the number of people that attend! Supplies: We will have grabbers, gloves, and bags. We recommend that everyone please bring their own water and sunscreen, plus any 5 gallon buckets (or larger) they might have to help contain the trash. Social Gathering: We will be heading to Taqueria Mezquite afterward for lunch and a chance to hang out with your fellow cleanup volunteers! This is not required, but everyone is invited to attend. --------------------------------------------------- Esta semana vamos a limpiar West 16th St en Pilsen, una zona que le falta el amor! El lado norte de la calle está cerca del ferrocarril y parece que no tiene posesión privado ni cubos de basura públicos, entonces los desperdicios se han agregado por un rato. Aquí están los detalles de la limpieza: Ubicación de Reunión: 1600 S Ashland Ave (el rincón de Ashland y W 16th St). Intentamos limpiar desde Wolcott a Loomis (5 manzanas) pero completamos lo que podemos completar según el número de personas que asisten al evento! Suministros: Tendremos alcanzadores, guantes, y bolsas para todos. Recomendamos que todos traigan su propio agua y protector solar, además de algunos cubos/cubetas (5 galones o más) que tienen. Evento Social Después: Planeamos a comer en la Taquería Mezquite después de la limpieza para almorzar y pasar un rato con los otros voluntarios! (No está requerido para asistir a la limpieza)
