SUP Yoga on the Delta ~ Come flow on the water and find your bliss while surrounded by nature. Yoga on the water?!? That's right - come get ready to play while surrounded by nature! Stand Up Paddle Board (aka 'SUP') Yoga is a wonderful way to improve your stability, strengthen your core and tap into mindfulness as it brings you into the present moment. It's a low impact, full-body workout that allows you to soak up the benefits of being in nature. No prior yoga or paddling experience necessary. You are encouraged to work at your own level and progress as you find connection with the water and your board. Includes: Review of key paddling techniques, a yoga practice and fun-filled adventure! ***BYOB (Bring Your Own Board) VERY LIMITED board rentals - Available on 1st come 1st serve basis with advance notice only. The Flow: We'll meet a designated spot by the Discovery Bay Marina (specific details provided upon registration). We'll review proper paddle techniques and do some warm-up exercises before we launch into our yoga practice. We'll take in the scenery as we paddle out, breathe in the fresh air as we make our way to our SUP Yoga practice site. Then we'll drop into a slow flow on the water allowing you to connect to Mother Nature. You'll be guided through various postures, with options to modify your practice to suit you. Wrapping up the experience with a deeply relaxing float (aka savasana) where you simply soak up all the benefits of your practice. Details: Wear comfortable layers of clothing (that you don't mind getting wet). Swimsuits are optional, dry-fit workout clothes recommended. Don't forget to slather on sunscreen and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Never SUP'd before? No worries, all levels welcome and life vests are available. She offers yoga and wellness programs to help ambitious people create a sustainable, balanced and healthy lifestyle so they can stress-less and avoid burnout. Her teaching style contains anatomically functional sequences which vary from vigorous vinyasa flows to deeply restorative practices. She teaches customized corporate and private yoga, SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) yoga and chair yoga sessions, each designed to be accessible for all levels.
