Summer reading and overall kindergarten readiness retreats This is a weekly summer retreat dedicated to preparing your incoming kindergartener for success in the next school year. I will lead the group through circle time activities, reading, phonics, crafts, and handwriting activities. Lunch is not provided. Healthy snacks will be provided. Sessions will take place on the second floor of Mizzou's Student Center. This will provide a great opportunity to encourage academic excellence in your children and get them excited about college one day. The program will run for 7 consecutive Saturdays. Children will be sent home with reading activities after every session. Upon finishing the 7 full sessions, your child will receive a fun pack filled with books, reading games, and a personalized workbook to help them with handwriting. Transportation is not available. Reserve fast as there are only 8 spots available each week. Though attendance may vary each week, I recommend that you sign up for more than one session. I have great activities that will carry over into the next week! I am an experienced teacher (4 years of experience with students PreK-5th), CPR certified, and am willing to provide a background check if requested. I am also a graduate student at Mizzou studying Occupational Therapy. I have a ton of experience with children and am very excited to work with your child!
