A celebration of David Monson at the Lake Harriet Bandshell, preceded with a bike ride around Bde Maka Ska and Lake of the Isles. Summer is finally here, most friends and family are vaccinated, so it's time we gather and celebrate David with a few of his favorite things. Biking, beers, and of course all of you. We will gather on July 10 at 3:00 p.m. CT at the Lake Harriet bandshell. Travel at your biking pace on the path outlined at https://goo.gl/maps/hS5tVD6QaF25DjTB6. This route takes you past David’s marker at Lakewood Cemetery. Stop here and reflect about some way that David’s life and death has impacted you. (Please walk your bike inside the cemetery.) Then, travel around the east side of Bde Maka Ska and up and around Lake of the Isles. Continue your ride around Bde Maka Ska to the elm tree dedicated to Dave and pick up one of David’s favorite beverages. Please take some time to think about and share with those who you have been riding with ways you've made changes in your life because of Dave. On your return to Lake Harriet, we will have wristbands for complimentary food and beverages from Bread and Pickle. Feel free to skip any parts of the celebration that don't speak to you.
