I think Juneteenth is great !! We need to be able to set aside a day to celebrate the day that the Republicans took slaves away from the Democrats, for sure !! However.... One thing that bothers me though; Somebody took and time and effort and money to build a statue of George Floyd....??? As if Floyd is somehow a shining example of the American Black story ?? Very disturbing that they would elevate a person such as him, to represent the Black race in America. Couldn't they have picked someone who has NOT wrapped their entire life around crime and violence ?? I mean seriously... What a POS he was !! How embarrassing !!
