The Rapid Response by Stamford Firefighters Quickly Contained the Fire from Spreading to Adjacent Houses
STAMFORD, CT (June 17, 2021) – At 09:14 PM, Stamford firefighters were alerted to a report of a house fire at 18 Lincoln Avenue.
4 Engine Companies, 1 Truck Company, 1 Heavy Rescue Company, and the Shift Commander responded with a total of 26 personnel.
Initial arriving fire companies arrived on scene in less than three minutes and immediately went to work in locating and extinguishing the fire. As firefighters proceeded inside the residence, several family pets were located and safely removed from the structure.
Due to the need for additional personnel at the scene, a second alarm was called at 9:34 PM.
Shortly thereafer, the fire was placed under control as all personnel continued to extinguish any remain pockets of fire.
Fire damage was contained to the second floor and attic space of the residence.
There were no injuries to the occupants of the home or firefighters.
Additional scene support was provided by Stamford Emergency Medical Services and the Stamford Police Department.
The Stamford Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
